CHAPTER VIDEOS 1-10
Quotes to Ponder . . . What’s your response to these lines/scenes in the novel?
- In chapter 3, Donnie tells Zack “We both do bad stuff. It’s just that I get forgiven, and you don’t.” Zack says that’s not fair, and Donnie agrees. What’s going on?
- Near the end of Chapter 9, Pastor White says “But people can be decent, really decent, in ways that a lot of people respect . . . and that can be their biggest obstacle to faith.” What does he mean? Do you agree or disagree with him?
- Near the end of Chapter 10, Zack thinks to himself, “It occurred to me that if God was crazy, then the pastor was crazy to be serving him, obeying him. I shared what I was thinking.” Pastor White replies “I reckon that’s so, Zack.” Zack is surprised the pastor agrees with him. What’s going on in Zack head? In Pastor White’s head?
